 Grandmother's Basket |
This Grandmother's Basket variation was found in a trunk at the Columbus, Georgia home of Dorothy Rroberts, an aunt to Martha Roberts Spencer of Douglasville, Georgia. Although the quilt maker is unknown, it is believed that the quilt was made by someone in the Roberts or Mulin Family in the 1870's.

 Whig's Defeat |
This Whig's Defeat was made by Virginia Green, the great-grandmother of Mary Burdell Arapian of Atlanta, sometime between 1836 and 1840 in an area near Augusta, Georgia called Bath. Eighteen families moved there from Savanah to escape the mosquitoes caring malaria. Today only the Green home and the church remain.
