Custom Quilting

I have been machine quilting for about 17 years with a Gammill Optimum and offer professional hand guided machine-quilting services. I only do free style quilting, no pantographs. I can also customize the quilting based on a drawn sample that you provide.

To have a Piece Quilted:

No basting or pinning is needed.
Prepare batting if necessary unless you are having me supply the batting.
Cut backing fabric and batting four inches on each side larger than the top. Make sure the backing fabric is squared with no ragged edges. In order to load your quilt all edges must be straight. I will charge $25.00 per hour to straighten.
Carefully press and fold the top and backing.
If squaring and pressing of the backing fabric is required there is an additional charge of $25.00 per hour for this service.
If you prefer, I can make the backing from your fabric, just send ample fabric with the top and I will assemble for $25.00 per hour.

Pricing

Edge-to-Edge	These start at the left side of the piece and continue across and off of the right side. Thread ends are left to be secured when the binding is applied.	$.02	$50
Bordered pattern	These start with the body of quilt and then each border is treated separately. Borders can be treated together if that is how you would prefer. Thread ends are secured with quilter’s knots where possible.	$.025	$60

Additional Services Offered

Bindings: Price is $.25 per running inch, if you provide the binding. If I make (from your fabric) the price is $.35 per running inch.

Note regarding backings: Seams in the backing may not end up centered or perfectly straight because of the way the frame works.
